Getting Started

This page walks you through setting up your wallet, navigating the platform, and opening your first trade on Lavarage.

Wallet Options

Lavarage supports two ways to connect. Both give you full access to trading — the difference is in the extra features available to you.

External Wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.)

  • Use your existing Solana wallet — no new accounts to create
  • Full self-custody: your keys, your wallet
  • Works with any Wallet Standard compatible wallet
  • Best for: experienced DeFi users who already have a Solana wallet set up

Email Login

  • Sign up with just your email — a Solana wallet is created for you automatically. Your keys are yours — Privy uses secure key sharding so neither Lavarage nor Privy can access your funds
  • Unlocks automated features: Take-Profit and Stop-Loss orders execute even when you are away
  • Enables Telegram alerts and notification preferences so you never miss a move
  • Profile features: set a display name and build a favorite tokens watchlist
  • Best for: traders who want the full feature set and automated exit strategies

Quick Comparison

Both options let you trade with leverage on any token. If you start with an external wallet and later want automated orders, you can connect an email at any time.

Connecting Your Wallet

  1. Go to v2.lavarage.xyz
  2. Click the Connect button in the top right corner
  3. Choose your path:
    • External wallet — select your wallet from the list (Phantom, Solflare, etc.) and approve the connection
    • Email login — enter your email address, confirm the verification code, and your embedded wallet is ready
  4. Once connected, your wallet address appears in the header. You are good to go.

What You Need

  • SOL for transaction fees — a few cents per transaction. Keep a small SOL balance in your wallet.
  • Margin for your trade — the token you put up depends on the loan offer you are matched with. Currently, pools accept USDC, SOL, and other tokens, with more being added as liquidity grows.
  • That is it. No registration, no waiting period.

Finding Your Way Around

Once connected, here is what you will see across the top navigation:

  • Trade — the main trading interface with three tabs:
    • Trade (Long/Short) — open leveraged positions in either direction
    • Swap — simple token swaps on DEXs via Jupiter
    • Borrow — borrow against your holdings
  • Positions — a full view of all your open and closed positions, with real-time P&L
  • Earn — earn yield as an active (lending) or passive (staking) liquidity provider
  • Referral — your referral code, accumulated earnings, and the referral leaderboard
  • Profile (gear icon) — set your display name, connect your email, link Telegram, and configure notification preferences

Your First Trade

Here is a quick walkthrough of opening a simple long position. The whole process takes under a minute.

1. Choose Long

On the Trade page, select Long. This means you are betting the token price will go up.

2. Search for a token pair

Use the token search to find the pair you want to trade — for example, SOL/USDC. If it trades on a Solana DEX and has margin liquidity on Lavarage, it is available.

3. Set your leverage

Drag the slider or type in your desired leverage. If this is your first trade, start low — 2x or 3x — to get a feel for how positions behave before going higher.

4. Enter your margin amount

This is the amount you are putting up from your wallet. The protocol borrows the rest on your behalf. Your total position size equals your margin multiplied by leverage.

5. Review the preview

Before you confirm, the interface shows you:

  • Position size — total value of your leveraged position
  • Estimated entry price — based on current market conditions
  • Liquidation price — the price at which your position would be automatically closed
  • Fees — opening fee and estimated interest

Take a moment to check the liquidation price. Make sure you are comfortable with how far the price would need to move against you before liquidation.

6. Confirm and approve

Click Confirm, then approve the transaction in your wallet. Your position opens in a single on-chain transaction.

7. Monitor your position

Your new position appears in the Positions table below the trading interface. From here you can watch your P&L update in real time, and manage the position as needed.
